ENERGY
OPEC cartel reduces output again,
Tightening supply - hiking prices;
Becoming difficult for consumers to fend,
Pushing us closer towards a crisis.
Detroit churning out massive SUV's,
Ignorant people keep on buying;
Military keeps losing Humvees,
American soldiers keep on dying.
Time to clean up the air,
Save some soldiers' lives;
Show the world we care,
Bring new technologies on-line.
We can push hard for energy conservation,
We should spend more on alternative research;
We can pull together as a nation,
We should escape from this energy lurch.

| Well stated, Michael!!! So many of us talk a great game, however we fail to put our words into action. Unless we each become responsible and correct our erroneous ways of neglect and waste, SOON, we're doomed! |
