Kinda depressing, but considering whats been going on lately....
Pay your bills, save money,
No touchies, Building wealth;
Cash for electronics, or a car,
Someday you could even get a house.
Recession, Depression, Crashing economy,
Dreams, Hopes, Fantasies dashed;
New becomes old, Clean goes dirty,
Scrounging for secondhand scams --
Anything to make the rent.
Clever ripoffs at the top,
Lining their pockets amply;
Self-righteous breastbeating cannot hide,
Raw, blatant theft hurting millions.
Vagaries of weather magnified by
Pervading loss on everyone's part.
If there is any hope besides afterlife,
It will be balmy summer weather ahead,
Benefiting the masses of newly homeless folks.
