Evil

The Manito was good at her escape.
Focused, and ultimately successful;
Slithering to an out-of-reach page.

I stood amazed of this
existence performance
before my eyes.
For her to do
what she did best.
Creepy thought.

Acrobatic dance
taught by the scream.
Put on the spot
till confidence is seen.
Whipped green down,
a trail to the sea.

She was caught, and she knew.
A cornered animal she seemed.
Circled in chanted truth,
escaping our lips.
Telling what our eyes had seen.
