Quieet Joy

In a pleasant world of the now
midst needs filled to the brim
A yearning still hides its power
to take much of it down to slim

This demon that might destroy
should one not prove grateful
Reflecting quiet outward joy
for as long as one stays able

I agree Bill, but sometimes it is hard to project that quiet outward joy. My demons have been with me for 49 years and they are in no hurry to leave.

You have said a lot in these few words, Bill, and the message is bright and clear. But the wisdom may not be that easy to follow. Thank you for sharing.

May the Lord Bless you, and those whom you love, and be with you always, and walk by your side. With love in my heart, joy to the world, peace on earth, & ((((((((((MANY WONDERFUL SISTERLY HUGGGGSSSS)))))))))), your little sister Barbie.

Doug Bentley - Theank you for proofing my poem. My works take other paths at times, bu that's what I do. If it helps; I am almost blind, so errors slipp through at times. - Bill

This poem is quiet different with the title I was expecting something peaceful but the opposite effect I got after reading.
