Featured in my soon to be released book, Miracles of Poetry.
I look within the depths of my soul
searching for an inner peace.
Caught up in the craziness of the world
It’s so easy to lose my way.
The crowded streets overwhelm me and
the faces in the crowd seem like nothing but a blur.
My heart is pounding and the sound
of it is deafening to my ears.
Scared and confused as to where my life is heading
I grasp for something; a familiar feeling
A safe haven to call my own
No more broken glass thrown before my feet
No more obstacles in my way
I will pave my road differently because it is my life,
Here I am once more, searching… At last, I have found
