Alway just the otherside of rebel

We stopped in escape nightmares left on the brow of time cast

He was playing on a stool all alone voice as hard as mine drunk

I bought him a drink and sat down to sing a tune or two

Jonannie did back up as we blasted and killed a bit a blues of country

Poet runs in mist of booze flowing light twists souls tripping past death

Skipped past old Jonnie blue note and pink Ville left cold in the glass

Hellcat and safe havens resting mix of screams and smell of powder and blood

Ice of the past skips to walls and flood of fear and escape breaking glass

Dress of time leads to the well of self built dreams and schemes perfecting

A time as seeking found only wisdom from foundations and smiles built

From burnt dreams and bodies we move to be more than reflection in search

Nothing is as pure as heart lead bare to the world of nothing left to loose

Closet was home to the keg and the voice in the room was not the music played

Breakfast was last night and the beer just left the mind relax from the gut

Triggers still shout roll grab flak jacket reaching for finding only joannie holding on for dear life

Face is gone, pride died inside the bottle broke, and each walks a way, wisdom done

Rebel lives in the sun of light off a ridge run of moonshine, sweet words still trigger a smile
