Life in the arms of love and time |
|
Now Wendy is the keeper
All that I hold dear
Once of lover
Once a life sincere
My fingers wipe the marker
Head the place where I sleep
Each voice is memory
A memory that I will keep
Can you hold me the way the wind does
And you kiss me like an angel on wing
Can you be in the arms of a dreamer
Can you with love still gleam
As will of the night my witness
As the stars hold the glow
As I stop by your heart to love you
Will you let me go
Try as you will to leave me
Try as you want to go
Try as you see the heavens
I will never let you go
Some are the water
Some the fire in the eyes
You are the blossom
The fever in all I try
Stumble I will in the honor
Stumble if I can
Trip on the clouds
I will to be your man
The creek runs to the river
The glass to the sand
Time in a bottle
We are the lost in forgiven
Watch as the day comes to grow
Sleep in the dreamers of believing
Kiss the child as it knows
Hold on to the moment as the moment goes
We are the last of the lovers
Last the fallen snow
Just before salvation
Where did our love go
The box is the ground holding
The silk the wind on the fly
The tears of needing
The truth her lies
..and I am the poet
with will or rhyme
a making of songs
songs that still cry
My fingers wipe the marker
Head stone the place where I sleep
Each voice is memory
A memory that I will keep
She took me to her parlor
Whispered love in my ear
Comforted my heart ache
Left me with her precious tears
We are the last of the lovers
Last the fallen snow
Just before salvation
Where did our love go
Now hell holds no barrier
Heaven know to place to sleep
Tree of life given
The last words we keep
I am reason
cold is the ground I keep
