Maybe no one can ever cause a change in
your heart
The change can only come through prayers,
and as painful as it may seem out of tears
Tears, pain, and love all have a way of
shaping us, forming us
Seldom one should think change comes
Perhaps change is not even accepted,
although change is inevitable
So many prayers
Then so many tears
So much love comes
Oh, it hurts so I know, but it does come
The love you have always needed
The love you have always wanted
Then the love you have always desired

Joy cannot come to a heart that is not open
A heart that does not desire
A heart that does not pray for it
Nor a heart that cannot see the sun
In a heart it is as if complete and total
destruction has occurred with love
Then it builds its own, not upon another's
Not upon a shaky ground
Only building upon a stable foundation
Even if it means it erupts in the making
Because love in the heart will soar above
all else

Love sometimes comes to a heart like a
mighty thunder
Or as gentle as a summers breeze
How it will come
When it will come
No one truly knows

If your heart is open
If your heart truly needs
Or perhaps if the desire is even present
The transmogrify will occur

Where is your heart
or do you really care?

My heart is here
My heart dreams
My heart needs
My heart desires
My heart is filled graciously with a pure love
from our Savior
With no fears of love
No fears of truth
Only a freedom to live, to grow, to love,
to learn
The ways of life I have been blessed to live

To live, love, and to experience the true grace of existence
For me is a total honor
That may never be taken away
Therefore, live, love, grow, give, and receive
the true blessings of your life
Live in the graces that God has given you
The Special Person That You Are!

A beautiful poem and it made me think how the heart can be nurtured by the mind, or vice versa, promoting change from within--as you state in the poem.

Well said, Gwen. I have two daughters (age 18 and 21) and your have said poetically what I tell them in "mother-speak" all the time. Lovely.

You are truly sent from God to give us these religious and wonderful writes. You are an angel too and I will always love God. Because he is the only one the one and only too. You are a messenger of love and peace and freedom. Your writes are extremely blessed by God to send to others to profess he is the one we must adore, love, and worship.

Ohhhhhh!--What a perfect "overture" to the "FOUNDATION OF LOVE"--which is the HEART! The VERY REASON that GOD loved David so much and spared his life because David's Heart was after GOD'S OWN HEART!!!...which all of our "hearts" should "mirror"

Magnificently Profound!* in the thoughtwaves that created this most insightful poem!
My Dear Gwendolyn!--YOU ARE A TRUE "*VISIONARY!*

What a beautiful Metaphor expression on the Love of Christ (AGATHE), it's beautiful. You bring such softness to the reader's heart with the simplicity of your words, softly scribbled, given conviction to the heart, and allowing the readers to taste the words as it pierces the heart.

I love your poetry, and for those readers who have not taken the step in getting a beautiful keepsake memoir of Gwen's poetry collections "QUIET STORM", I urge you to order one now, please do so, her book of poetry is a given light beaming straight to the heart, you will not be disappointed.

Keep writing such beautiful works Gwen, you are truly amazing, but most of all you are a poetess.

Many blessings,
Loretta Scott

Thank you, dear friend, for this inspirational write. And while I'm thanking you, I must also thank our precious Father God, for his love and blessings, His mercy and kindness, and most of all for the wonderful people I've met right here on the Den. True love between two hearts meant for each other can only come when we approach Father in prayer. Great write, Gwendolyn.

God Bless

Gwen when you write about love and matters of the heart it is with a sincerity and an honesty that is rare. Love is often so biased that we can not reflect on what or who is right or who or what is wrong. Well done my friend.
