| good one Gwen, I'm guilty of always beating up on poor Eve, but actually I feel that Adam should have been stronger and resisted biting that apple, anyway it's hard to resist the devil, hugs |

Gwendolyn ...
I feel somehow an aching coming from your heart through these words. But then, poetess, what you write is always, to this reader, an honest unveiling of the passionate heart of a quiet storm. Congrats on the book. Blessings to you ... |

If anyone blames Eve, then s/he had better also blame himself or herself. I do like the way you provoke thought with your verses, Gwendolyn. Thank you. Love and best wishes to you,

| I find this so poignant, Gwendolyn. I feel that Eve and Mary Magdalene get such bad press and are so misunderstood. But you have painted her delicate and beautiful here. Truly innocent in the purity of her love for him who was her root, her rock and inspiration. Such control in your writing, its strength for me lying in both its repetitions and gentle, unforceful "understatement". Nice work, thank you. Kate xx |

The symbology of Adam and Eve was I think not so much that Eve was to blame or Adam but that humanity itself was weak and we all share that weakness.

| Eve has been unfairly blamed and scapegoated by some people who don't want to take responsibility for themselves. I've never read where Eve put a knife to Adams throat or anything. He had a choice and he made it. He should take half the blame. But when is that going to happen? Excellent poem. Certainly tripped my trigger. Liz |
