(In response to wonderful poem called: To Really Love A Woman)

To really love a man

To understand him—you must first read his heart

For written there are many fears, doubts, insecurities

That he has walled up and fenced in and hidden

So the world will think him strong.

To really love a man

To delight him—you will have to be delighted

For his entire being is poured into the thought

That his fight for strength has won for him

Respect, attention, honor…and you.

To really love a man

To possess him—you must speak recurring vows

Dream your dreams, wish your wishes, speak your promises

In dark skies, and lands of broken promises, dreams deferred

Wishes un-granted, vows unspoken, often.

To really love a man

To caress him—you will need more than willing hands

Your voice, your soul, your mind, your lips,

Will all join with your hands to softly, tenderly

Remove his need to capture strength.

To really love a man

To love him really—you will have to be understood

To allow him to delight you, to possess you, to caress you

For only when he sees in you what you desire from him

Can you taste and breathe, forever his.

The words I recall so well from the nature of what men need (various books from Christian authors) is that men love to hear they are admired and respected to lay the foundation for truth in the words "I love you". (And I'm SO glad God did not make me a man. . .y'all are so sensitive!) (LOL)

blessin's, this is really a touching poem, keep the sensitivity flowing Bro. Eddie. . .

THE HEART OF A GOOD MAN REALLY DOES KEEP YOU WITH HIM FOR YOU KNOW THAT THE HEART IS GOOD AND PURE. THIS REMINDED ME OF WHAT I AM SO BLESSED WITH.

This is so breathtakingly beautiful and insightful, I hardly know what to say. Maybe it's enough to tell you I don't save many to my library, but I'm saving this one.

This is a wonderful interpretation. Men are from mars and women from venus but God created them both and different indeed we are. This is wonderful awareness for women to understand. You must be a pastor.
