(so, this is an archived poem from at least two years ago...i like what i've dug up, though, and wished to add it)

silence. dark. enraptured. enchanted.
moving through with the grace
of hollow air.
seperating the darkness from the light
with my parted wings.
fleeing with grace
from the weight of sorrow below.
hollow eyes.
dripping with the salt of tears.
bound by dampened sugar.
wick my water away with feathers.
hold out both of your hands
and welcome the droplets.
enjoy the coming of the rain.
categorize those you wish,
but leave your true friends alone.
let them crawl into your remembering
and paint on your walls.
write words with scarlet
in the banks
of your fondest memories.
plummet into reality.
delve out of dreams
(but still hold them tightly).
smother dafodils
with the softest skin of your nose.
your hopes are fresh towels
dancing with your wrapped outline.
find a mirror and find yourself.
peer into that which reflects.
dive into freedom and jump into you.
that is what all this is for.

I like this. An indication of what you can do and that's a lot. You're just warming up but you have to write to get where you want to be. It'll come because you have what it takes to be very good. A word for you- separating. Your friend- Jerry
