a hidden tear

...a very special first kiss...

she sheds a single tear--
glimmering and clear--
gliding alone
from the corner of her eye
over the rise
of her blushed cheekbone

and its sparkle you miss--
cause your eyes were closed
for the kiss--
and as your lashes part to open,
that one tear disappears--
it slips
into the crevice made by her lips
as their corners rise
to smile at you--
something she's always wanted to do
after pressing her lips to yours
while she simultaneously explores
the smooth swell of your back
with her fingers--
letting them linger
delicate as feathers--
pulling you closer
so the two of you breathe together

Have any cold water handy? Douse me, please. Been there, done that and loved it every time, even if it was very temporary. Jerry
