Yesterday's Boy

I bet this will bring lots of memories back! Sure it's my song lyrics again, but it works fine as a poem!

Yesterday's boy,  blue fantasy.
Just a young dream, of how it could  be.
Now we're alone, how does it feel?
You've got to learn, that love is for real;
Maybe you better hold on.

You better hold on.  Stay with me.
We'll take a night ride to exctasy.
You better hold on, as long as you can;
And yesterday's boy will soon, be a man.

Yesterday's boy, it's all in the mind;
Don't play for time, when love's on the line.
Keep moving on, keep moving in.
Love is the prize, that you could win;
Maybe you'd better hold on.

Yesterday's boy, taking a chance;
Hoping for love, and not just romance.
We'll take it up, and we'll take if high.
We're learning to love, you're learning to fly;
Maybe you better hold on.

You better hold on.  Stay with me.
We'll take a night ride to exctasy.
You better hold on, as long as you can;
And yesterday's boy will soon, be a man!

Donni-Jay,

just reading your bio left me breathless! If I pack half as much into my life I'd consider it time well spent. Great poem by the way...

I thought this was interesting reading. "Yesterday's boy is tomorrow's man" -- that's a line you could have used.

I think the wisdom is found in this phrase: "Yesterday's boy, taking a chance; Hoping for love, and not just romance."

I agree with Bhuwan...great lyrics!

Interesting lyrics!...but very enjoyable. I'm sure it will make a great song.

I'm getting a Yamaha keyboard for Christmas. Well, hopefully I will be able to do some tune on the songs I have written. I've written several songs as well, but not too many.
