Still working, still not serious...

I read of someone who’s written

Three thousand poems in three years

Presented for all to see, no less.

Oh, my… a cookbook of words,

Recipes to help prepare

Breakfast, lunch and dinner

Every day of the year.

I hesitate to imagine

What happens when there’s a dinner party?

It must be a gourmand’s delight.

Chopped syllable salad,

Epic catalectic dressing

Tossed with macaronic verse,

Prolific pudding served with

Underdone rhyme,

Fresh asparagus

Followed by treacle sweet

Double dactyl torte,

Rondeau cheese and ruby port,

All for the price of a fast-food buffet.

Perhaps I should write more, indulge

Never mind the indigestion..

My spare diet might cause starvation.

This is very unique, which alone is great. The idea of fast food poetry reminds me of the beret-wearing poets in cafes who take themselves far too seriously- great title and poem.
