Hard Knocks Life by Gregory Lions Monday, April 22, 2002 Share Print Save Become a Fan Every single day I wake up and grub for money Stand on the corner Shake my can “Gimme some money” “Yo, I’m hungry” “Gimme gimme gimme” They call me a slob Tell me “Get a job” This IS my job So give me some money! Hand me your change You don’t need it I’ll buy me some food Then go and eat it Give me your coins freely Don’t make me yoke it I’ll get a vial of crack Then I’ll go and smoke it Pity me A life ruined by bad chemistry

Some people make more working their 'nicks' on the corner of a busy intersection than they do working a steady job . . . and who knows where that money goes? Interesting write. Sandy
