night...

he crawled to me upon that silent night,
an offering in camouflage he dressed.
i took his beating heart without a fight,
his passing from my knife-swift work i blessed.

were we not brothers in each others arms
when i in the victory of extinguished light ?
upon the memorie of his death still warms
me on this cold and silent night.
