Apologies for not reviewing or viewing works in the last week...life has been a bit unkind...my mother has been hospitalised and my free time has been scarce...I will endeavour to catch up ASAP

Dream In Red

Dream in red, the colour of wine

And your soul entangled in time

Dream in Blue, the colour of sky

And your eyes asking, “why?”

I dream a lot to pass the time

I scheme a lot to get away

But you don’t even have

The time of day

You tell me, “Go break a leg,

Or else you’ll wind up dead.”

I know all this and more

As I lie awake in bed

But then again a smile appears

You hunger for the bygone years

Your eyes are shinning now

Filled with loving tears

Such a beautiful and deeply moving poem, I hope your mother gets well, I loved this:

But then again a smile appears
You hunger for the bygone years
Your eyes are shinning now
Filled with loving tears

Andrea,
We dream, some times because imagination takes us there, some times because we need to escape, but then we penn our dreams as you have so nicely done here. My prayers are with you and your Mother.

Andrea, Life is certainly anything but kind most of the time, I will keep you and your Mother in my prayers.
We have to dream in order to keep our sanity most of the time, it's our only escape.
Awesome thoughts and write.
