Just a Thought




 

Once in the bath

Twice in the rain

This commuting lark

Will never change

London Bridge or Charing Cross

Doesn’t matter which

I’m totally lost

 

Yesterday a holiday

I had my sanity

Back to routine

Back to insanity

London Bridge or Charing Cross

Don’t matter which

This commuting larks

Given me a nervous twitch

 

Same people, same places

Same look, same faces

Spare a cell for the poor commuter

Straight jacket, purple pills and a new computer

For everything’s computerised

Look at him, he’s got digital eyes

And him, he’s got the Times

A crossword and he gets the signs

No FT, no comment

No train, an advent

 

I’m laughing it off in my padded cell

This commuting lark can go to hell

LOL I used to commute to uptown Manhattan..........
no cells back then or lap tops.........
just fighting for a seat!
