Words To Ponder As You Face Decisions And Life's Ups and Downs

Jesus Vs. Religion
By Terri Hereford ©  4/07/2008

The earth is so full of the spiritually dead,
Just spinning in space, hanging on by a thread.
Watching and waiting for what, most don’t know;
Content in religion, never hoping to grow.
I sent my spirit, to teach and to guide;
Instead you get saved, and claim the free ride.
Anchored to a pew, asleep in the back,
Unaware that the sky above you turns black.
The storm approaches, but you just don’t see.
All you know is religion, you never knew me.

The Vow
By Terri Hereford © 2/15/2008

Fear Will Grip Your Every Thought;
Except For Those Who’ve Been Blood Bought.
The Time Has Come; The Judgments Pour.
My Word Speaks Of Those Things In Store.
My Bride, I Shield, No Fear Shall Come.
A Vow I Made To Only Some.
Stay Close By; I Am Your Light;
For At Your Heels, Fast Comes The Night.

The Love Of Money
By Terri Hereford © 4/25/2008

You Look In Your Wallet And Think You’re Secure,
But What Works Against You, Has Long Been Obscure.
The Darkness Unfolds In These The Last Days.
As Farther And Farther From Me Man Strays.
Come Back While There’s Time. What’s Ahead You Can’t Bear.
Will You Be Wheat Or Will You Be Tare?
O Earth! Oh Earth! How You Resist When I Call.
Your Love Of The Dollar Will Be Your Downfall.

Where Is Your Treasure?
By Terri Hereford © 4/19/2008

Hear The Markets Crashing. One By One They Fall.
One Upon The Other The Number Won’t Be Small.
First One, Then Another, Like A Childs Game.
No Mercy Shown To A Land, Always Blaspheming My Name.
You Pile Up Your Treasures, Waiting In The Wings.
Little Do You Know My Friend, It Isn’t Worth A Thing.
Stand Alone With Nothing, Now Which Path Do You Choose?
If You Put Anything Before Me, I’m Sorry Friend, You Lose.

Author Of Our Salvation?
By Terri Hereford © 3/2008

I’m Risen And Alive; No Longer In The Grave.
2000 Years Later, My Blood Can Still Save.
You Try To Put Me In A Box; As If You Think You Could.
I Tell You You’re Mistaken, And You’ve Misunderstood.
I Am Lord And Savior. I’m Not At Your Command.
You Can’t Beckon Me To Come, With The Waving Of Your Hand.
I Guess I Have To Talk To You, On The Level Where You Are.
Where The Mega Church Leaders, Are Treated More Like Czars.
The Way They Sell Their Wares Is Like A Store Not A Church.
If You’re There To Find  Me, You’ll Really Have To Search.
Behind All Those Dvds And All The Self Help Guides,
In The Farthest Corner; Pushed Way Off To The Side,
Without A 3 Piece Suit, And A Million Dollar Grin;
No Phoney Handshakes Given Out Before  Services Begin.
Lost Amongst The Preachers, Turned Salesmen In Sheeps Clothes
I Can Hardly Stand The Stench, And Have To Hold My Nose.
I Extend My Hand Each Day, Calling Out, Above Those Crooks.
Hi. My Name Is Jesus. Have You Read My Book?

The Divided Church
By Terri Hereford © 5/30/2008

The Church Is In A Divided Place.
Some Are Mine And Seek My Face.
Others Sleep As If All Is Well.
Clueless Of Coming Waves That Swell.
Blinded By Their Own Resolve,
While Seconds On The Clock Dissolve.
Wake To Find, The Bride’s Gone Home,
And Left Them Sleeping All Alone.

You’re Out Of Gas
By Terri Hereford © 5/16/2008

Hope You Like It Where You Are.
Your Car Won’t Take You Very Far.
Before It’s Earned, It’s All Been Spent.
Do You Buy Food, Or Pay The Rent?
If You Think, This Too Shall Pass…
Without Me, You’re Out Of Gas!

Expressing your thoughts on how we see God is amazing to me. It is so simple to say I read the bible each day and I believe on the Lord Jesus Christ. Your writes express things not even t be though about by religios people, and I did enjoy these contrasts and writes brought out from the heart of you. Good writes here.

Very deep and passionate poetry.

Jesus is the same today as yesterday.

You have God given talent.
