In May of this year a talented poet and compassionate woman passed away after a long illness....her name was Jennifer Sloan....also known as Ravyn......over the year I had read much of her life's story documented in poetry and prose and admired her continued courage . . .
other than commenting on her poetry I really did not have any other conversations with her ....until opinions in a discussion forum came up that were unsettling to me . . . it was at this point that Jenn comforted me . . . near the end of her life and having time for me . . . this time given unselfishly...the reassuring words and understanding will always be my lasting immpression of the Ravyn........

~ Ravyn's Impression~

For one brief moment
The Ravyn perched upon my shoulder
And paused with me in a shadow
That lay across both our paths . . .
Comtemplating the view
Behind us and to that which lay ahead.
Just a single footfall of my time
To be released to the wind,
And remembered for the gentle
Brush of her feathers against my tears.

Thank you again Jenn.

Jeanne... you have me crying, shivering and aching. This is so searingly beautiful to me. Even the words in your title bring ... a saturation of sadness. Jenn...

The monsoon is almost over, here, Jeanne. Clouds always comforted me, I saw Jenn flying. Clear skies make me... still. I don't like that. I want to be turbulent, like Jenn, but not. Hers was sorrow, mine is thanksgiving, and passing on what she bestowed to me, herself. Passing on all of you... As we pass on.

Love you, Jeanne, you make me feel more whole, Jenn never did, feel whole, no matter how much we tried to help her see her beauty, she could not be whole. We can. For Jenn.
