This music wakes me,
an elysian symphony, resounding through
the houses of my slumbering logic.
Harmonious arrangements of creation,
crescendos of elation;
this music calls me,
chiming the bells of genesis.
I am lost in the answer.
I float on the chorus
of the seraphim’s hallelujah,
and hold the lamp that erases
the shadows behind the words.
I walk on water.

And this music wakes me
at the moment of reckoning,
holding me,
trembling with the memory
of the melodious poetry of the consecrated,
I nearly touched.

:) Hi, Jeanne! Good to see you 'exposing' your poetry to a wider audience!! You have such lovely cadence and flow in this piece, as do many of your works. I know this 'sense of music', intimately, it is freeing and sublime and precious. As you so brilliantly described with alliteral resonance and succinct surrealism. Love it!!
