There are many things I try to do,
Because there are things I want to know,
And when I'm on the brink of knowing
My mom abruptly tells me, "NO!"
Like the time I swung the cat around
By its lovely, gray, and shabby tail.
My mom yelled at me quite explicitly
As I took notes on its offensive wail.
Then there's the rather splendid time
I flushed the rocks down our commode.
She stopped me: broke my train of thought
From learning one more thing I never knowed.
She looked at me with sheer horror
During my probe into electricity,
And ceased my experiment at once
Before she placed me cross her knee
On a dire quest for higher learning,
I tried again, later in the day,
That's why my eyes both light up
And my hair stands up this way.

|Just like my mother said to me. "You are so stubborn, so you'll have to learn it the hard way!" LOL. Great one, Jessica. ;) Silver|
