Lately, I've been thinking...
|
You say it's dark outside
Now it's dark inside
What is a body to do,
When it's nearing the end?
While it's day
Walk in the sun
Do all the things you were here to do
And when it gets night
You'll be in the light.
You are never alone
There's always been someone to hold your hand.
Never, never fear.
Walk on towards the sun
And soon the night will give away to the light.
I miss you Daddy.
I miss you Big Mama.
I miss you Grandpa.
Though I still have the love, prayers and guidance of Mama,
My children, my grandchildren and all my family and friends.
Lately, I've been thinking about all the times we shared.
While I was growing up,
You were there
In your special ways.
You're in my head and forever in my heart.
I was just sitting here thinking
I enjoy the memory dance!

Pier,
You write from a deep inner beauty, which you transform so well into gorgeous poetry!

O, what joy it is in being older and being able to conjure up a memory dance to a thousand and one tunes!
The beauty of our fragile brain is that painful memories--though bruising and tortuous--fade with time while events of the heart linger and grow and warm the soul. I walk around like a juke box with a taped-up money slot--just click on a meaningful event and revel in the delight 'til I'm pure pleasured out.
My dear Pier, Memory Dance is what you say: "Forever in my heart."
Really good stuff here, Pier.

Certainly a fine memory is better than a fine wine.
And love shared with another will never lose its savor. Your thinking Dear Pier, has created a heartfelt construct. Would that more would have your insight.
Light and Wisdom ...
