An artist with timeless talent breathes life into his own creation:
In the stillness, a solitary leaf sails carefree over the earth.
Perched on a boulder, the lady in lilac and lace tilts her head.
Ribbons of crimson from across the heavens set her face aglow.
Her dainty lips pursed. Suddenly, she smiles in a child-like mirth.
Petals from the white rose she holds fall into the motionless river--forever flowing.
Her long platinum hair blowing softly in the passive wind.
Ivory filaments metamorphose into wispy clouds against the magenta sky.
And as the beautiful day begins to disrobe, the woods beckon.
A few gentle strokes...majestically her eyes of emerald soften.
A white dove alights close by--observing prudently.
And when he flies away, she whispers, "Forget me not."

| A whimsical, gauzy write, Donna, that is ephemeral and mysterious. Well-done! Peace. Joyce |
