An in-depth look at the Gorge past & present, it's role as the final leg of the Oregon Trail, and some of the more interesting characters it has hosted during the past 20..
This one is all me, not for my book. It's something I had to get off my chest.
Always say what you mean
My mom always said to me
But she never does
I feel like she doesn’t care about me
She only loves me when she has to
She doesn’t love me for me
She plays mind games
She doesn’t only do it to me
She did it to my dad
She drove a wedge between him and me
For a long time I believed her
I thought he was the one that didn’t love me
My mom had me convinced he was bad
She had me convinced he didn’t love me
It took his mom to open my eyes
She explained everything to me
They were both unfaithful
My mom lied to me
I wasn’t surprised that she had lied
I was glad it wasn’t me
She had put doubts in my head
As to if my dad loved me
His mom showed me that he really does love me
It never was him or me
It was her, she always has to have her way
No matter who’s in her way
That’s just her way
She hurts you her way
And then kicks you out of the way
I opened my eyes that summer
Opened my eyes to her ways
I thought for days and days
I almost let it ruin my days
Finally I completely woke up to her ways
And now I’m prepared for her ways
I just hope I don’t succumb to her ways
And become like her some day
