Children make such a wonderful addition to life on Earth. Always curious, and learning. They have energy to burn, never seem to want to sleep, and they are all so innocent, and loving no matter what the day may bring. Look into their little eyes, and you will see why children bring so much joy to those all around them. I believe that children are much like God, in personality, and in life. These little ones absorb everything around them like a huge sponge, even the way they live, and are taught within the family home.
Children are not adults within a small body; they have the mind as a child, and the heart of a child. Children only know what they are taught at home, and they learn from how they live in that home. These little wonders love life, take each day at a time, and always love you unconditionally no matter what the day brings. I see God in the very heart of children. I see his love, his blessings, his child like way, and I see his heart within these little ones.
Children look forward to each new day with wonder. They look forward to the love of family everyday. They look forward to finding new things they never have experienced before, and they look forward to a loving home. The Lord says "Train a child in the way they should go, and when they get older, they will not depart from it". I believe in this absolutely! Children want something they can cling on to, something of substance that helps them to grow. Children need this type of environment to thrive in.
If a child is raised to be selfish, selfish that child will be. If a child is raised to be self-righteous, self-righteous behavior will be the outcome. Now on the other hand, if a child is raised with the love of God in the home, and have a good Christian foundation to build on, this child will be forever grounded in that teaching. Even though most children as they grow sometimes stray from that teaching, God is true to his word in saying that they will come back to that teaching later in their life. I know first hand that this is absolutely true !
Children need a good chance, and firm roots, especially in the world as we know it today. Wont you give them all you can in that area, so when they are grown, they will truly know the love of God within them, and will call on him always?
Child of God
I am a child of God
Still so small, and innocent
The world is full of explorations
As I haven't grown up yet
I hope I can get through this
Being grown is sometimes not so grand
I want to be sure my heart holds up
To all the test's it must withstand
I still see wonderment before me
My heart soars like a butterfly
Everyday a new experience
And I've been told I must always try
I pray God hear my whispers
As I lie in bed each night
I want to be sure he kisses me before slumber
And wakes me with his love in the morning light
I know I will need him always
No matter how big I may grow
For without him I am nothing
I just thought that you should know

|What you have written is wonderful! I agree with you completely that children should be given the firm foundation that they need in life. They should be taught about JESUS! He is our rock that we must keep our feet on always to make it through all trial and tribulation of life.Children should definitely be taught about this!|
