I Wish I Could Be A Child Again

I wish I could
Be a child again
Ignorant and full of wonder.
Quick to forget, to sleep
Away disappointment.
To brim with joy
And forgiveness.

I wish I could
Be a child forever -
Invulnerable
To life's unrelenting hummer
And ever innocent.

A sentimental, innocent and thoughtful wish that some of us may also wish to erase the hate that we see in the world. A child is taught to love and respect others and children dont realize that the world can be so cruel. When you become an adult you live in a world of reality and wish you could make it better. With some assistance, maybe the children could rule the world and help everyone to love each other.
