Katrina Victims ~ comfort children, as well as self.

Desperate Faces, displaced in so many places.
Holding on to unknown reality.
Hunger cries of what their lives will be
Tears of where their lives could be
With hope that others will see and understand
And help them face and help to place
to put aside their desperate faces
And unknown places
Faced upon them now.

The cry of tears that face so many
Above and beyond their years,
With tears streaming down,
While parents or loved one's frown
That try and comfort the tears
And  now years, they also are facing
But hold a stronger hold,
Of utter chaos, trying to
Remove the desperate faces, of the children's cries
While trying to remove theirs cries as well.

Another compassionate poem. A mother can hope for the best life for her child, then when a disaster strikes and she has no control of where they will live, when they will eat or have no clothes to wear, how does a mother protect her child? She gives life to that child because she knows she can protect but now their world has changed.

She has to try to be strong for that child and for herself. But it's so hard sometimes to be strong, knowing that there is nothing she can do to change their new life. Faith is her strength. Faith will pull them through somehow to begin a new life and dry the tears to live for another day, one day at a time.

This is what all mothers can hope for. Strength to live another day to keep our children safe so they can grow up and do the same for their children. These are times that they will never forget, but hopefully they will be strong to begin a new future and a better one.

America will open its arms and take them in. Unfortunately, the nightmares and thoughts of those who needlessly died will live on.
