Think this must be an early draft of my New Year's Resolution - before too much turkey bloats me brain! Was supposed to be in the form of a footprint - but the technical expertees required are beyond me! LOL K xx

In... Out...
In... Out...
Inhale... Exhale...

Feel the life in the air
being slowly drawn down
to fully nourish
the who you are NOW...

You are not the same human being
you were even yesterday -
neither chemically, emotionally
nor spiritually.

You can't go back,
neither can you stay the same;
Don't let yesterday rob you
of the life that's to be lived TODAY,
or of your hope for tomorrow.

There's only this moment
to be fully experienced -
here, now.
It's a gift to you THIS day.

* * * *

What's the point of saving for tomorrow
if you aren't really living for today?
What's the future about,
if the past is actually
where you're held in chains?

Break loose! Lighten up!
Lose yourself in the giving
of yourself to others
and you will find
your self-worth doubled in value.

Give some to the world about you,
and you will see that
a bright, new light
has come in through
your own dark windows;
Who knows?
Perhaps you may leave behind
a firm footprint
for someone else to follow.

Know that your life has,
in some small way,
mattered to someone, somewhere,
sometime, somehow.

Tread softly, Sojourner;
enjoy the NOW!
