We talk to each other every day Without giving it a mere thought Because communication is a natural part of us Without permission needed to be sought But communicating with our Father Is quite different indeed Bringing ourselves into His Holy presence With all of our requests and need It’s such a privilege He has given us To come before Him as we are Never needing to stand back And admire Him from afar We can seek out His attention Which He will always freely give Coming to Him with our requests And asking Him to forgive We can bare our hearts and burdens Because He truly cares Simply knowing that His desire Is to listen to our prayers We can talk to Him with a confidence Which only faith can bring That communicating with God Is truly an awesome thing Karen Chalfant February 28, 2005
