|well-expressed ... but a consolation ... i have heard it told that when a child finds it (seemingly) easy to say goodbye, it is because they are very, very comfortable and sound in the relationship ... as in they know the goodbye is not final, but a temporary thing, and the relationship continues in spite of it.|

|This is just so touching. Tears began to well...if it had of been any longer I'd of been outright crying. Excellent in feeling and goodness. Thanks for sharing..Lisa|

|There are many ways to lose a son (or a daughter), and I
can certainly emphasize with you in this painful scenario.
Been there. Done that.

this is a tender, loving write of a parent's unwillingness to let a child go on their own--especially enjoyed
"...all i can do/
to delay inevitable/
is squeeze you tighter/
hold you longer/
take pictures of you sleeping/
and store away/
a million million/
i miss you"
BRAVA! (((HUGS))) and love, karla.
welcome to author's den, BTW--you're among friends
