Just As A Thief


As years tick on, mere mortals descend into dust;
attacked by a gloom ‘n despondent by past regrets.
Species multiply, convoluted in turbulent distrust;
haunted by mankind’s inhuman gurgles of threats.

Unlike the winds of the world blowing wild ‘n free;
there’s a hunger unappeased from birth to death.
Grappling inside rivers of fears, smoldering debris;
searching for solace ‘n seek out life giving breath.

Is it possible for humiliated rainbows to shine again;
who are wrapped inside phantoms formidable walls?
Allow life’s flowing waters to cascade as a fountain;
filling the dignified circumference of illustrated halls.

Decades have vanished for the witnesses of horror;
their visions of tomorrow could not bring them relief.
Let’s try to salvage a reminder of the great explorers;
instead of entering through rear doors, just as a thief.
