The earth has blushed
emerging from the heat of the sun
She ventured out
to soak in the day
and he spied her beauty
basking in the light
Has he seen
what she thought to keep discreet?
Has he seen
more than she knew?
Angrily she drops
the tiny covering of fig leaves
and wraps herself
in a thick, white robe
He watches, chilled
as her beauty transforms
as she freezes in her steps
with a sudden blush
He has seen,
but she will hide
beneath her blanket
of frozen denial ...
every year
without changing ...
every year
she blushes,
and it snows.

Beautiful imagery woven through highly poetic thought. The Eve in me is blushing. --Charlie

Whoa. I had to read this twice. Wonderful perspective of this ever-changing earth.

Fantastic, I hope I'm getting right the co\nnection between Eve and snow because it is such a divine thought.
Quite visionary.
