The Goddess Pele molten spewed
her fiery vengeance o’er the land.
The people’s man in fleeing knew
he’d spat upon her nurturing hand.
She wrathful took her place again ~
black, lifeless stone his granted rest.
She screamed, she bellowed,
“Nurse the breast of fire
to the heartless chest!”
And worship they
who know the place
of man, of woman,
child and beast.
The Goddess Pele
spoke her mind.
The living saw;
the dead left blind.

Tempo builds in this one.
Nature will have its way providing we don't destroy it first.
Well done.

Very vivid write. I too like the last line, and the reminder that we must respect nature

Bravo for an excellent write. I love that last line,"The living saw, the dead left behind." Very powerful. Peace and blessings. Mikii
