Good day, my Lord,
again, it’s nice to meet you.
I thought before I’d known your perfect love,
yet when I see true wisdom falling from above
to cursing lips, my thirsting grips
despite the beggars’ push and shove.
To know you Lord
in all your might,
the perfect keep
your perfect fight
and e’er transcend
and there befriend
whom only love’s great strength could send.
I would now be less you, more me
and yet, your greatness sets me free.
