I dare not taste
these words so sweet
too oft or else
our eyes would surely meet,
and captured there
this world must turn away
with all true love
deciding soft to stay
bereft of self
a precious child to see
safe, loved of they
who brought forth thee
my sought for song
to sing the whole life long
a silent tune in thought
o'er write here verses wrong.

Yet wrong enough
is dying for the weak
who in their pureness
all perfection seek,
and wrong indeed
is casting off such blessed seed ...
when would a tree
of shade and comfort be.
Though I be wrong
in all that I achieve,
much more is wronged
if ever my love leave.

Too splendid for words. I am quite choked up from the beauty and sentiment; the flow and feel. -- Jeff
