They rose above the city
where no one ever slept
'til the day they fell
this nation wept
No words could ever convey
the horror we felt inside
the moment the planes dove,
crashing into the country side
In the name of religion
militants declared war
But from within the rubble
a new spirit soared
We swore we'd get even
for the lives that were lost
Their memories will live on
no matter the cost
Soldiers went over
they gave it their all
so freedom could ring
Hussein had to fall.
The president declared victory
but kept the same course
this war isn't over
until there's remorse
Onward, our troops carried
with one mission in mind
to free the Iraqi people
and Hussein they shall find.
Back in Afganistan
on some mountain top
Bin Ladin is lurking
to take the next shot
And as we gather here
on yet another anniversary
I ask if we're any better
in this land of the free?

He, like the devil, eludes the final fall. Bin Laden is mortal and his Karma will catch up to him.
Take care,

BinLaden is not immortal..either us or time one will in fact see his last breath.
I think the man's rebellious spirit is more dangerous now than he actually is. There are too many that want to carry on his mission.
Great write Robin.

Sooner or later there is the kyptonite. Sooner or later the money posted on his head will win. I hope that someday soon will be today.
