Heaven’s child with bluest eyes
Which hold the whole world’s light,
Your heart is just the perfect size
To liven up the night!
Just as you are ours, we’re yours,
But someday this won’t be.
A day will come when other shores
Will call you far from me
Perhaps another child will place
A hand within your hand,
And you’ll have found a brand new face
To gab with in the sand
Till then for now keep chatting, love,
Each night that resolves day,
And we’ll treasure all you speak of
In all you dearly say.
It is such moments that you give
My child, in words and love,
That I’ll adore long as I live
And bright stars wink above.
That's my beautiful baby girl in the photo!

|Such a sweetie... the poem, and the bub! It makes me a bit sad, since my babies are grown up. They keep on inspiring me, though, even at a distance.
