Sentiments

Photograph is of my sons, James and Robert

Sentiments that seem to last within ones youth
Slowly quietly time becomes much more aloof
One day you eat your mother’s cakes so yummy
The next the recipes been lost or sold at rummage

Jolly Christmas time was magical, lights all around
The next you’re fighting crowds gifts to be found
I look upon my granddaughter what will she miss
Then I make sure I give one extra hug and kiss

I sit here thinking back remembering fathers face
I wish just one more time to listen to him pray
What legacy will my own beautiful children think of?
If nothing else I hope they remember their mother’s love

That is truly the right kind of legacy to be sought, Theresa. Nicely expressed. Love and blessings to you,
