Photograph taken by, Theresa Jodray.
Interior region Alaska..

Feelings emanate from within my heart
But my voice holds its peace in silence
Wanting to say what is inside
But nothing rages forth-just silence

Burning soul will smolder thoughts
To break the waves inside me
Distant winds close shut heart's door
Forever keeping you in blindness

Feelings set to rest in peace
To lay heavy across my heart an soul
Nothing spoken out for you to hear
My body armor left instead does hold

I love this! Reminds me so much of Emily Dickenson in its solitude and rhythm. Ron

Try...only silence.

Very well written. As an editor of poetry and fiction, "just" is very overused...and in poetry, it has a hard sound. Just a suggestion. ~E

Beautiful picture. I go through periods of silence myself, not wanting to write anything. The truth often emerges in silence--words alone never convince anyone, until they see it for themselves.
