the pain comes in fits and starts
like the rag-ged breaths crying imparts
must be the territory of broken hearts

| i've been doing some "collage" art of late, the words and the formatting of this reminded me of both the grief process and my current art process (the stops, the starts, the jagged-ness). i really like how you worked these particular words down the page, which is exactly how i feel when on one of my "masterpieces" actually comes out. -anne |
