So much more than simple touch,
taste or sweetest talk,
more than lines that speak
of love, one must also walk
Smallest moments shared,
insignificant though they seem,
tiny glimpses into the places
so often left unshown,
Lift and carry into the light
with no fear of what may come,
defend with lion fierceness
as if this will ever be
the only one
Give the things that make it real
without hesitation which leads to loss,
show your face, open your life,
save yourself from risk, you risk
Surrender, and in so doing,
become the bird which flies away,
unison, not an abstract thought,
yours to partake or easily
Do not deny that which needs,
feed it and make it whole,
offer more than requested,
make special with gifts
from the soul
Give equal balance, do not desert,
no question of doubt or feelings hollow,
in making love and having sex,
the difference is so much more
than a spit or a swallow

|Two of the most precious gifts…a kiss and a smile, both were given to me the other day…and the only thing I had to give in return was a listening ear and a wink…sometimes it seems, life couldn’t get any better…beautiful write Ann…from the heart (another gift)..thanx for sharing…Peace Abel|

|Well, this is most extraordinary, Ann, and pleased to meet you!! This is almost the very poem that I have had on my heart this morning - albeit expressed in a much more polished and sure way than anything I would have penned, I am sure. But the themes of generous and free, unconditional self-giving and "if you talk the talk you gotta walk the walk!" kind of stuff, for sure... the collective stream of consciousness sure is a strange thing! Like you so appositely say in your Biog, "it's all in the detail" and much of what REALLY counts is just totally unseen by a vast majority. This is beautiful, penetrating poetry with rhythm and flow and captivating trains of thought which both stimulate and refresh. Thank you for taking my thoughts and expressing them so well - I love this! Kate xx|
