In The Night

From the shore shone a light that was bright
Took my mind, caught my eye by surprise
Water oozed over empty shells of loves broken hell
Where tears leak the pain of heartsick dudes and dames

In the distance, saw a heart ripped apart
By the jaws of loves fangs the pain hangs
They gave all they had to give
No reason left for them to live

In the Night
Came the blood on the floor at the door
In the Night
Broken hearts drown their classic downs
In the Night
Comes the tide, rumbling reasons, soaking lies
In the Night
The salt burns the eyes
In the Night
Left on the shore
In the Night
Left there
In the Night
To cry
In the Night...........They die

In the chill heard a cry of desperation
Piercing the darkness with its strain
Reaching to hold on, grasping
Clinging to life, releasing pain

It was a shadow I saw in the mirror
a reflection on me in my mind
It was I out there on the shoreline
It was I out there saying bye
