Saying Good Bye

(I am working on my visual expression, let me know how I am doing)
I see all of your comings and all of your goings.
Coming home from the hospital in Daddys arms as he sings triumphantly.
Christmases, Easters, the Halloween you donned fairy wings.
Dressed like a princess for prom, "Mom stop crying, it's so embarasing!"
I've seen you laugh, I've seen you cry & go straight for the ice cream.
I've seen all the faces of all the boyfriends& all of the kissing.
I know it's time to come in when the porch light is blinking.
I watched when your husband gave you that engagement ring.
I witnessed first hand the plans, shower and wedding.
Now, I see the new baby when she comes to Grandma's visiting.
I've kept all of your secrets, all of your life, just hanging here invisibly.
I hope I will always be here to watch your family history.
I promise always to be true , silently, diligently.
I reflect you as you are ~
looking back at me.
