The perfect book for perfect gift-giving. Beautiful (and unsyrupy) sentiments. Beautiful art by Vicki Thomas. And about the same price as you'd pay for a nice greeting ca..

 A Mirror Reflecting ….

We travel worlds of forgotten memories
Often not knowing what led us there
we seek in every corner of our minds,
something that may spark…
a reminiscent vague remembered thought.

What is it that we so hungrily seek ?
Do we find the smile upon another’s face?
the alluring eyes behind a mask
the voice that so tempted our soul
we have not seen the face,
nor touched the human
but only if in our minds eye
Yet, so powerful to transfix and captivate,
the elusive phantom of love we seek.

Could it be that we were lead into a surreal world,
where indeed ones mind
hopes to find an outlet
in our creative hearts.
Drawn are we to poetry and story lines,
that we so well relate too.

If only but for touching the tip of the iceberg.
Know that, the deeper you delve,
the more you will find,
A mirror reflecting your own moods
and requirements of an inner peace.
A chastened heart,
or love across the valley, of a majestic world
Oceans separating the need for closeness,
and closure of our hungry minds.

Could it be that this is indeed?
What triggers the desire?
the figment, the illusion !

"A Mirror Reflecting..." Reflects all stages of life... The impressionist, realist, symbolist and surreal.

This poem, "A Mirror Reflecting..." makes me reflect my existence, and inspire me to learn about its REASON.

I have learned from this poetic writing.

Keep depositing Your treasures in the bank of our minds, and let the world send the Dividends-ACCOLADES to You.

The human's mind is a mystery
yet to be uncovered:

WOW!!!… Elga, and to think you had doubts. Not me, nope, never. This is one of the best creations to grace the board. I could peck on this darn keyboard and really spill my soul out but it’s best just to let this timeless treasure speak for itself, Poet. Thank you for sharing your gift with the world. Bravo!!!

I love this. I call it the search for reality. It can be a ghostly reflection.

Elga these are indeed great questions you ask. Your poem is wise beyond its years...fantastic the way you have used a mirror, with such surreal meaningful images to support your poem...For the mirror reveals many reflections, some good, some bad, some wise, some stubborn, some even figments of our imagination...this is a timeless poem...enjoyed...Fletcher B
