Sad as it is, I don’t visit AD as much as I used to, circumstances changed, and so too the passion I used to have for writing, this unfortunately dwindled, as the muse left months ago... flitted into obscurity. Every once in a while though, an insistent
tap in the recesses of my mind, urges the silence be broken, hence below my attempt and an offering for what it’s worth!

To fear love is to fear life, and those who fear life are already three parts dead.
Bertrand Russell (1872–1970)

Swathing with Love
Dreamscapes in fluidity of love
Like silken threads flowing freely
A myriad of colours in striking hues,
Purples and lilacs and pure whites too
Bathing with care,
A tired and weather-beaten mind so weary
Swathing with love,
A battered and storm-tossed soul so bruised
Thoughts coagulate with suspended promises
As hands reach in hope to grasp the notion
The heart ached and desired for cohesive unity
Silence of spoken words that were never uttered
The reality of dreams that failed to be
Evenings of romance between you and me
But only in surreal planes of pretext
Your countenance obfuscated
Was it by a curtain of smoke screen?
Caused by the fire that devoured from within!
Fervently ignited by love so intense
These flames still lick wildly
As ardent passion still burns!
