Dear Fellow Poets,
The following message is NOT aimed at anyone on AD, but I am hoping this will fully convey a message, and especially that it will be totally understood by the person it is intended for. As I once read on one of Chantis' posts... "You choose to be offended" if something offends someone, then perhaps the truth has hit home. From the time I started posting my work on AD, never once had a particular person shown any interest, now, after others "discovered" my poetry he initially showed interest then soon after showed his anger and disatisfaction saying I had "defamed" his character... Why? because I won't tow the line? because I am no longer intimidated? Keep telling the world I have a mental problem... the truth shall prevail. |

Unless a man feels he has a good enough memory,
he should never venture to lie.

Truth Without Frontiers
Dare to chance, and to live?
Beyond the edge and dreams
Will you walk or rather run?
Find truth past stifled scenes!
Do you smile, and can you laugh?
Or control the anguished screams!
Will you let them talk and spin a yarn?
Of Judas’s kiss into their schemes
I took the chance and am alive
Flying high no edges and no fears
I walked a while, ran when could
Found truth without frontiers
Preceding laughter are joyous smiles
Anguish dead contentment perseveres
Talk was feigned and yarns improbable
Schemes consumed ensuing fatiguing years!

Suffer not scars from those who lash out in weakness, anger or fear, for they live within their own self-created darkness.
Instead bathe your soul in the light of truth and know that the strength that comes from your loving heart has allowed your soul to rise above their cruelty and on to a higher plane. They are but a minor inconvenience and a great lesson, on the road to enlightenment.
Take care,
Sherry

Hoop en vertrou my naam sal weer in ere herstel word!!
Liefde Tinka |

Disrespect is a cankor that sometimes successfully invades the whole body, mind, and spirit. Irrespective of why, I have always been enamored when another is moved heatedly, or passionately, to respond to what another says, or infers, or presumes to be an injustice in his/her life.
We certainly can be sensitive beings, easily moved one way or another by the words of contemporary's, and often driven in our own ways to deal with what we see as injustice by our own means.
It is quite easy to be anyone you want to be, or act anyway you want, in cyber-space. One of the banes of cyber-spatial relationship is lack of respect, and honor, and unfortunately you never really know who the person is you're interacting with.
Sometimes it could be your best friend.

Elga,
Reading your words is an honor; I respect poets for their words; if some are offensive (and yours have never been to me), they don't have to read. I don't believe in censoring words, but again, if they don't like it, they can read something else. Powerful message in heartfelt verse, very well penned.
(((HUGS))) and love, Karla.
And I agree with Fee, keep writing. For you, most of all. :) |

Beautiful heartfelt message in this and in all of your writes. Anyone who questions your art, your views, your abilities to cut to the truth as you suggested are perhaps reading messages of their own into them that are too close to home. Keep on writing from the soul and heart my friend.

Elga:
I, too, have similar problems for a while. At some point in time I feel like I was invisible to some, and I kept thinking that perhaps my work is not good enough for them to take notice or comment; but I now know that it isn't true, some are just too busy by themselves to take time to read others.
Don't let anyone gets to you. Just write and write...
