What joy when we see His works around us!
After the Sun has set,
Leaving a sky full of stars
Lighting the sky where
Eternity meets the eye,
Lost in the mighty vast
Umbrella of the countless
Infinity of creation’s wonders,
“Alleluia” is all my heart can feel.
After the Moon has gone,
Left dimmed by the morning Sun’s
Light show heralding a new dawn,
Entering with the fire of His light,
Letting free those who were in fear,
Undoing the cold of the night air,
Inching its way across the blessing of a new day;
“Alleluia” is what my soul must proclaim!
After the Horn has sounded,
Leading our Lord on His return,
Letting the Saints to come again;
Evermore and ever after, I will sing my joy;
Leaving my prideful feet, falling to my knees;
Under His throne of victory, I will cry,
In total rapture of His majesty;
“Alleluia, Alleluia, Alleluia…Our Lord has come and we are free!”
