An old cedar leans to the east
bent by the Wyoming wind~
a grey soul at peace
the spirit warm~
Below the skyline, settled,
we touch into the twilight~

I carry a life here to rest
a small hand made rug
snow melt water
fragments of being~
An exposed root, a cradle,
so i drowse~

A sliver, silver moon,
one star,
leather black sky~
A dream
short, simple, still~

As Safi and Abdi-Noor Haji Mohamed have caused me to fall in love with Somalia, so you are doing with Wyoming...thank you.

Sigh...I play at poetry and struggle with every word and line. You are the real deal. I can see you penning with ease, no cross-outs. True? Simply beautiful lines, Martin...

A shadow here of sacred peace--as deep as the earth's soul and every bit as humbling.

Your prose captures moments in time and sense of place so elegantly. Your imagery took me to the edge of the world with reality of what is important ..the sky, wind, moon, rock, a dream.
I think one of your best. Thank you for sharing your gift.

I feel it. I sense the quiet of night with the single star...the calm of nature's beauty and the vastness of harmony.
