As the Snow Confines

Not a good day to be living in the midwest if you have any out-of-town plans for the holiday!

Captured at home on Christmas’ doorstep
Snow sparkles reflecting light
Glistening ice spears threaten
From rooftops and awnings
Neighbors hidden away for months
All outside digging for escape
From the barricades of snow
That are trapping their lives
Grey skies above
Reminds us all is not calm
As the winds sculpt new landscape
Frosting cheeks and burning eyes
Struggling to win the battle
Between nature and personal freedom

I love snow in spite of the hardships it causes because we are not in harmony with the world we live in. I like the way you did this, Anne. Love and peace. Regis

Just heard about the snowstorms down your way. Suddenly the exoected -27 doessn't seem so bad. Right now very warm with gusty winds.

Great descriptions!

I guess our rain isn't so bad.
Best wishes for the Holidays.
